The Sol Price School of Public Policy awards a scholarship to  for the 2023-24 academic year. Conditions of the scholarship are outlined below.

Sources

The Price Scholarship consists of funding from the following Price scholarship source(s):

Disbursement

The scholarship will be added to your financial aid package in your USC Financial Aid Summary & Tasks (FAST) Portal over the summer. The award will initially be set to disburse at 12 units in the fall and spring semesters as students are expected to enroll full-time. If you wish to enroll in more or less than 12 units in either semester, please notify the Assistant Director of Scholarships in writing so that your award can be adjusted accordingly. Each semester, your enrollment will be verified to confirm that the scholarship amount meets the intended criteria.

Coordination with other awards

Your scholarship is a tuition-only scholarship, which means that it can only be applied to the tuition you are charged for each semester. If you receive other tuition-only awards from USC or outside organizations and if the total tuition-only awards combined with the Price Scholarship is greater than the amount of tuition you are charged for, you agree to forfeit the portion of the Price Scholarship that exceeds the tuition charges on your account.

Articulation with other Price graduate programs

If you are admitted to more than one-degree program at Price, your scholarship offer will only extend to the degree program(s) that you pursue. While the program you choose to pursue may have consequences for the funding source(s) of your scholarship, it will NOT affect the amount awarded by the scholarship.

Articulation with other USC graduate programs

This scholarship can only be used to satisfy the requirements for the degree program(s) that you pursue at Price. If you pursue a dual degree, the Price Scholarship will only be applied to the Price degree portion of the requirements of the dual degree. If you decline or change degree objectives, please consult with the Assistant Director of Scholarships about the feasibility of using the scholarship for another Price degree program. It may not be used for degree nor certificate programs outside of the Price School.

Renewal

The Price Scholarship will be renewed automatically assuming you maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA and are making satisfactory academic progress for this degree. You will receive a written warning after any semester you fail to meet these requirements and will have your scholarship pulled after failure to meet these requirements after two semesters.

Deviations

Any deviations from the above conditions must be requested in writing to John Mendoza, Assistant Director of Scholarships.
